Free Friday Therapy
Aloha Friends!
Some of the best therapy can be found in our friends and family network, however, exercise this practice with caution. It's so easy to trauma dump our issues on our closed ones, and in some cases, this can be helpful and connecting, however involving an unbiased third-party can be helpful in solving your problems and resolving your traumas.
It can be incredibly overwhelming for your loved ones to absorb all you have to say/unload and be careful who you speak to you. Often I've overshared with manipulative men and women, which is often the unfortunate case with traumatized individuals who are blindsided... and these beyond criminals used what I've said to them against me, which is again, another reason I keep my trusted circle small.
In the spirit of keeping this article light and fluffy for the weekend ahead (pun intended), let me share with you one of my best paid therapists: my dog, Bruno Mars. I spent over 3,000 hours with him over the course of our time together - from April through August of 2024, even calculating at one point, this cost me 60 cents an hour... and as I've joked to many folks: he is the most effective, best paid therapists I've had to date!
Bruno Mars, my adorable therapy puppy, entered my life at a healing stage and provided me with some adorable blind adoration, at a time when I would have kicked all men on earth to the curb! A definitely awesome sidekick, whom I cannot wait to be reunited.
{On a serious note, last summer, I chose to temporarily re-home Bruno, mostly to restore my inner peace, which was increasingly challenged, despite me keeping to myself. Sadly, he's still been kept from me as well my son, but I still hold hope I will see them both again, in the near future. To this day, despite having available space and time for Bruno, there has been no offer to return him to me nor an update on his well-being. On this note: I hold zero mercy for those of you who manipulated and lied to me, then repeatedly gaslit me at my most vulnerable state. I highly doubt my son will have anything to do with you one day. It's the ultimate karma for your despicable, unforgivable actions. And if you stood by complicit with how these shameful people acted and did nothing to stop them, you are just as guilty in my eyes. I'm certain my son feels the same way.}
With Hopeful Vibes,
Heidi
