Holiday Revamp: Future Planning

 Aloha Reader!

In the spirit of hope, light and justice, last year, I purchased a discounted 2024-2025 planner from Walmart. It was a steal at $4!

Due to the fact I have been lied to and manipulated by many parties, organizations and people, I decided to modify the 2-page list of holidays and simplify it. Immediately, I crossed out former President's birthdays and laughed at the 4th of July - ha! Really? In a country that oppresses women, children, minorities and all true freedom fighters? Nope, we gotta redo that date. Our Founding Father's would be downright embarrassed at the state of this country.

Many of you may share my sentiments with these same individuals and appreciate the list! For those of you interested, I kept a list of well-established holidays, including "Valentine's Day", "Saint Patrick's Day" and "Juneteenth." Yes, I am admittedly somewhat of a fool when it comes to love, so V-day stayed. Saint Patrick's Day is special to me for many reasons: one being how Boston, MA truly lights up like a Christmas Tree on this day. And Juneteenth - because, well, if I have to explain it, maybe consider visiting another blog, reader. For those of you interested, there are other important ones too on my list. Hold tight for the complete list :-)

Let me share more goodies on this journal...

When I started this journal, I filled it out with my phone number and a few other's contact information. In the Fall of 2023, I did not have a single person I could trust as an emergency contact, so you bet it felt good to write pen and paper a person on the first page and continue to build contacts as I continue to navigate rough waters.

This $4 journal not only contains important medical information about me, but also serves today as a gratitude journal, fitness log and is filled with extra personal recommendations.

While I maintain both pen and paper journals, gosh, I sure do love my paper! :)

*This post is dedicated to Mr. Harvey Milk - who is a kindred spirit of mine and his story of bravery reminds me of my own. One major difference between us... he took a traditional route to politics and leadership. May he rest in peace & power.

With Hope,

Heidi
